CIP System

ESC is the preferred supplier of SINGLE TANK SINGLE USE CIP systems to three successive design/install engineering and marketing companies. These skids, and the associated control systems were designed to accomplish wash recycle of a vessel with only the water required to fill the CIPS/R piping, and a minimal puddle in the vessel being cleaned. They cleaned vessels in a “By-pass” mode; i.e., no solution flow through the solution tank. Tank (vessel) circuit balancing problems were totally eliminated by placing the CIP return and supply pumps in series in a closed loop with only one tank puddle to control.

Filter Housing Spray Devices

The increased use of larger multi-element filter housings in pharmaceutical and biotech processes has focused increased attention on replacement of removal and transport to an equipment cleaning area by application of CIP (Clean-In-Place) procedures.  CIP, as part of the process CIP circuit, reduces the handling of the components, the possibility of damage, and improves operator safety.  Effective CIP methidology must provide also for incorporating the associated piping and valves required for flushing, steaming, blow-down, integrity testing, filtration , and, of course, CIP operations.

SUEA CIP Circuit Flow Paths

The SUEA CIP Skid can acccomplish all steps of any CIP Program; i.e., a Portable Tank, a Fixed Process or Hold Tank, a Bioreactor, a Chromatography or Filtration Skid, or a complex piping circuit requiring sequencing through multiple paths (and various combinations of same), via selected combinations of the following four operational flow paths, and in accordance with a RECIPE of time, temperature, concentration and flow rate variables.

ESC Experience Background in Dairy Processes

As noted in About ESC Electrol Specialties Company began fabricating CIP System components as a vendor to one of the nations largest suppliers of cleaning chemicals to the Dairy industry more than 50 years ago. This vendor was a major provider of the engineering services, components and skilled personnel required to design and install CIPable automaed processes, for dairies initialy, and later food and beverage processors.  This vendor was actively involved with new facility construction, but more importantly, also developed and applied the methodos of applying such new technology equally well to "recycle old dairies" via rennovation projects planned to provide the exisitng facility increased capacity, efficiency and quality capabilities, and keep it running during the rennovation process.  This vendor worked on a design and install" basis and used its own wsanitary welding crews, even Internationally, through the mid 70s.
